Android TV, Google assistant

In the latest firmware update there is an option for Google assistant. When I try to use this, I get a message on the TV to «press microphone button to talk».
How do I do this? I have already pressed the button, and pressing it again just shows the same message...

  • Hi Jahn Kenneth could you please share more about your setup?

    • What brand and model is your set-top box?
    • Does your set-top box have a microphone?
    • Can your set-top box hear the voice? The voice command is not captured by the remote itself, via the assistant in the Android set-top box, and the audio is captured by the set-top box itself.

  • The STB is a Get Box, with Android TV.

The STB does not have a microphone i think, but the original remote does.

So if I understsand you the microphone on the Sevenhug remote is not used for this??? Why not?!?

    • Jahn Kenneth you are right, the microphone on the Sevenhugs remote is not used for this because it has not been activated yet. Some Android TVs have a microphone on the box itself, this is why we added the microphone as part of the command available when customizing your Android TV's UI but not as default.
