How to add inputs

One of my devices is a Yamaha receiver tsr5790. It has 6 hdmi inputs. None show in the  SevenHugs config for this device. So, I cannot set correct input for virtually any source. How do I add inputs to the configuration?

  • And, for that matter how to dump steps in scenes

    • Art Shotwell Did you add your Yamaha receiver on Smart Remote by entering its exact model number in App or by testing codes directly on Smart Remote?

Also, have you tried custom steps for TV Scenes?

  • I entered the Yamaha model number TSR-5790.  I haven't tried custom steps yet. I'm new to this. And, as for using my Harmony remote to send input signal to the Smart Remote, the Harmony sends a string and not the input as a single command. Since I'm still not on the current Mac OS, maybe I can add the input commands to the Harmony, then have the Smart Remote learn them from the Harmony. That will be my next step. Thanks, art

  • Solved... I added direct HDMI inputs for my Yamaha receiver to my Harmony 650 universal remote. Then, using IR, I copied them from my Harmony remote to my Sevenhugs Smart Remote. I noticed that I also had the ability to rename them from Sevenhugs general names to match the names on my Yamaha receiver. Background: My concern has been that I will not be able to update my Harmony 650 remote once I update to the latest version of the Mac OS, which drops 32-bit support. Harmony is moving to Hub-oriented architecture.
