Please fix battery life..

I know you guys say the battery life lasts two days but it really doesn’t.. It last one day if used please fix. Does anyone else have this problem?

  • OK thank you… I’ve decided to keep my remote I hope you guys don’t disappoint me!! I have a question about something I saw online how do I get the weather on my remote example in the picture I’m going to attach to this thank you.

    • Rich thanks a lot for sharing this here. This is an old picture we had at the time we were not selling the Smart Remote yet, to show the services that could be integrated on it. The weather service is not available yet on Smart Remote but we'll make sure to let you know as soon as it is.

  • Yes. And the indicator isn’t much use most of the time, staying static in the middle giving no warning that the battery will die suddenly.

      Paul Harrison Yea I just returned my remote $300 plus for a remote that battery cant last for more than a day. Smh I’m super disappointed.. I just feel like sevenhugs is a new company great ideas but their not really for show time

  • On this same topic, my remotes backlight stays on for almost 1 minute and forty seconds after I stop using it. I think this is a pretty long time. Is there a way to have it stay on for about 20 seconds or so? This may be the reason for the fast battery discharge. I looked in the settings to adjust the time but can't find any.

    • dale browning this is not possible yet on Smart Remote but I've shared it with our team so they can add this to the roadmap.

  • I’ve already returned the remote sadly I couldn’t justify spending over $300 for remote control that died way too quickly.  Plus all of its functions don’t  even work! I had 60 days to return it u guys never corrected the problem I wish I could’ve Kept it but I couldn’t wait for the updates to correct the problems. Maybe I could be one of your testers but I cannot justify spending $300 for a remote control

  • Battery life is perhaps the only drawback that I have encountered with the remote. I had as little as 12-14 hours on certain days.

    • Bradley Swarts thanks a lot for sharing this here. Did you notice any pattern for when the battery life does not last long?

    • Anne-Sophie F. No real pattern.  The battery simply does not work over after several hours and requires a charge.  It also has minor issues while trying to run an AppleTV particularly using the YouTube app while inside the AppleTV.

    • Bradley Swarts could you please share with us via email the Serial Number of your Smart Remote? Also, concerning the Apple TV, I would recommend adding it on your Smart Remote as an IR device for now, because there is an issue on Apple side for third party devices considered as keyboard by Apple TV, like Smart Remote in the Youtube App.
