Smart Remote Not Found

I am not able to keep the Smart Remote X connected to the app for any longer than 10 minutes. It constantly loses connection, then prompts me to click on the Try again menu.

I have placed the remote within 12" of the router just to rule out any wifi signal issues. Proximity does not appear to be the route of my problem. I have also disabled wifi Power saving


Additionally, I have closed the app on an Android Samsung S20G Ultra 5G and cleared cache. That did not seem to make a difference. I have gone as far as to redo the wifi setup again. The remote has no problem connecting to the wifi and I did run the Wi-Fi connectivity check. However, the app does have an issue finding the remote most of the time, or staying connected to it for longer than 5 minutes.
