Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you that we just released v0.72.13 that includes IFTTT Webhooks. Thanks to the new Webhooks integration you can create buttons on your Smart Remote to control your devices and services. Please see the detailed release notes here and How to use Webhooks here.
We would love to get your feedback about this new feature and learn about what you are able to accomplish thanks to it! Feel free to share your DIY projects here!

I would like to add another strong vote for IFTTT. As an early tester, I'm finding that I can't use my smart remote for much in the way of testing without IFTTT. Adding IFTTT support, however, would allow me to use all of my Homeseer, Z-Wave, and Insteon devices which would all go through Homeseer which is connected to IFTTT. And that's just the start. But I do try to link everything in through my main hub which is my Homeseer system. I also try to limit external connections to just go through that connection for security purposes. So IFTTT is key for me as I don't connect to many cloud services. So anything you can do to speed up the launch of support for IFTTT would be very much appreciated! ;)

I backed the remote because other comparable products did not offer the IFTTT integration. I understand that process is requiring time you did not initially anticipate. I, for one, would be very grateful if you were to update regularly as to the progress of that integration, as my remote is not of use to me until integration is complete.

Really disappointing, I could have implemented the api myself by the time this takes... This remote is utter garbage at the moment. If I had known the development would be so slow and closed I would not have backed this project.
Check out athom.com with their homey product. Integration with a smart home system with an open app ecosystem so integrations can be picked up by the backers, communities and interested people. Less developers needed to build proprietary integrations...

Just checking back here again after another 3 months, and I still see absolutely no updates with any type of release date for IFTTT. I've offered to be a beta tester for this feature that was promised long ago, and I haven't seen anything regarding any kind of testing either. This only leads me to believe that nothing is actually happening with IFTTT integration for this remote, since typically testing is an integral part and testing usually greatly benefits from existing users testing the service.
I checked the IFTTT service, and although I see sevenhugs registered in February 2016, I don't see any applets or any sign of life there either, even now...over 3.5 years later. Very disappointing. To add insult to injury, I also noticed smart remotes are being sold on the sevenhugs website to new customers.
So it sounds like the plan here is to ignore the backers that made this project a reality and not deliver on a very major feature that they were promised, and just rake in more money from additional customers. Ridiculous. If sevenhugs creates any new products in the future, you can bet I won't even think about backing them, no matter how great they "seem" based on what is advertised.
