X1 Page Up and Page Down not available

The configuration on the remote for the Xfinity X1 set top box doesn't include the page up or page down buttons.    Attempting to add them via the "add input" method didn't work and gave me an error message with error code 31.

  • I was able to go into the beta screen customization and add these buttons manually.  I have the same X1 settop box.  Worked perfectly.

    • Bolu O Yes.   That works for me too.   When I originally had the problem I don't think I had access to the customization feature.   If anyone is interested, the "info" button on the remote is called "display" in the button customization screen.

  • I can't get it to work with my X1 at all. I went through setup. The Channel + worked on setup, but none of the onscreen controls worked (including channel +/-) after that. Any hints?

      Lenny Greenberg could you please let us know how you added your device on your Smart Remote? Did you try via model number or by testing codes directly on Smart Remote? Could you also please share the manufacturer and model number of your X1?

  • I went through the app, chose Xfinity and then it instructed me to go to the remote. The remote had a channel + on the screen to test it. It worked. But, after that it didn’t in actual use afterwards. 

    My set top box is the XG1v4, Xfinity’s newer 4K set top box. Doesn’t show manufacturer; but, I believe it’s Arris.

      Lenny Greenberg Could you please try by selecting the category "Set Top Boxes & Media Streamers", then entering and selecting the brand "Arris", then clicking on "Enter my model manually" and entering your Arris' model number?
