Part II: Record the TV Scene using Smart Remote

  1. To finish creating your TV Scene, follow the instructions on Smart Remote.

  2. The first thing you will be asked to do is press the power button on Smart Remote to turn on all the devices you added to the TV Scene. Make sure you point Smart Remote at any infrared (IR) devices you have in the scene and that there is a direct line of sight between Smart Remote and each IR device.

  3. Make sure all your devices are powered on. If not, press the power button to turn on the device or devices that are not turned on. When you verify that all the devices in the TV Scene are on, press “Everything is ON”.

  4. Select the right inputs for each of your devices by pressing the right and left arrows next to the name of each device. When all your devices have the right input, you should see and/or hear input/source device you selected.  When this happens, press “Inputs are OK”.

  5. Smart Remote has now recorded all the required input settings to activate your TV Scene and your TV Scene has been successfully added. Press “finish” to exit.

You now have access to your TV Scene in Smart Remote’s carousel. To create a location for your TV Scene list in Point Mode, long press on the TV Scene list in the carousel and follow the on-screen instructions.

Here we will show you what a TV Scene can do and how to set it up.

Control a group of TV devices

Example: Turn on your TV and media player and switch to the right AV input—all with a single button.

Combine controls for multiple AV devices on one screen

Example: Browse content on your media player and adjust volume through your AV receiver on one unified control screen.

Add control of smart home devices to a TV Scene

Example: Dim the lights and stop the music when you start a “Watch Movie” scene.

Important note about controlling infrared devices

When activating a TV Scene, all infrared-controlled devices need to be visible by Smart Remote’s infrared transmitter.

Easily fix a TV Scene that is not working properly

If a device is not responding to your commands or is out of sync with other devices (e.g. TV turns off when everything else turns on), swipe left to access a screen to fix the state of that device.
