Easily set-up, control, browse content and create custom speaker groups via Smart Remote
Using your Smart Remote, Sonos Play: 1, 3, 5, One, connect, Amp, Bar, Base, Beam can be controlled via Wi-Fi thanks to the Sonos cloud API. You can browse and select music from your Sonos playlist or favourites using Smart Remote and you can group speakers (including stereo pair) with the Smart Remote.
We’ve also added new Smart Remote features aimed to improve your experience with Sonos. You can now select the content playing from your TV or your Line-In directly on Smart Remote via your Sonos interface. TV and Line inputs are now available just next to your Sonos favourites content on Smart Remote. Sonos enhanced Dialog and Night mode have also been added to Smart Remote interface.
Playbar, Playbase, Beam and Amp can now be added to a TV Scene.

How to set it up

Make sure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as Smart Remote.

Launch the Sevenhugs Smart Remote app and make sure you are on the Devices & Service tab.

Select “Add a device or service"

Select “Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Devices”

Under “Accounts” select “Sonos”

Select “Connect Sonos” and “Continue”

Enter your Sonos account credentials to sign in
All Sonos speakers associated with that account will then be added to Smart Remote.
On each Sonos interface, you can swipe right to get access to your Sonos playlists and favourites.
How to group speakers on Smart Remote

On the Smart Remote Sonos interface, click on the bar “click to group speakers” at the bottom of the screen

Select the speakers you want to group
The speakers you have grouped will now play in sync.
Important notes

Playlist access is to playlist titles only

Ability to select a playlist or favourite when creating a Home Scene is not yet available

Stereo pairs must be created using the Sonos app
