Hmmm, Mr. Sinclair’s posts got me thinking....with an increased range on the room sensors, could these not be place on the perminter on the home envelope, rather than within a single room? I would like to point the remote at a room and see all the devices for that room come up. Not just a single device at a time. For instance, at my front door, I have a Schlage Sense lock, 3 Lutron Caseta switches and a Ring Doorbell. In my office I have a Sonos speaker, 2 more Lutron switches and an iDevices plug. In my master bedroom I have a Sony TV, Apple TV, 3 more Lutron switches and lamp controler, plus an Ecobee 3. These all border my living room where I have a Sony TV, Apple TV, DirecTv receiver, Sony Blu-ray, Pioneer Receiver, 6 more Lutron devices and a HomePod. Making the location correlation more room based would go a long way towards home wide expansion. It is worth mentioning my 80+ smart devices are all HomeKit compatible with the exception of the Ring and an Amazon Echo, that is where IFTTT could be of use. I see HomeKit as key to unlocking the SevenHugs ability to intergrate since it is organized by room and those would be easy to locate with additional longer range transmitters. Have you explored using mesh network WiFi like eero or Linksys to pinpoint location of devices? They already kind of do just that for beam forming.

I have an amazing thought (I think I have :) ) for a feature with the smart remote and Homekit. The smart remote is amazing to control even devices that are not Home Kit compatible, for instance - TV, Projector, Satellite box, setup boxes, Xbox. Is there a way, (when you make the remote home kit compatible) for an apple device to control the TV (say - turn off TV) using the smart remote, provided the smart remote is in the same room?
For Example : I tell me Apple device (iPhone or HomePod) to turn off TV, and it relays that information to the smart remote and the smart remote send the signal to the TV.

Would be lovely to control devices in Apple Home Kit via the remote. This would expand the number of devices controlled dramatically.
In particular, I use the Philips Hue lights for the whole house, while the HomeKit Support and Scenes are rock solid, the Seven Hugs scenes struggle with the number of lights, often turning them off and on and taking many seconds to stabilize. Being able to leverage the already created scenes in HomeKit would resolve this (in addition to opening up options like pointing at my smart front door lock from Schlage which supports home kit, and having it lock or unlock. -
Wow, Homekit addition would be great! I actually pre-ordered the SevenHugs remote before they released at BestBuy, but eventually just ended up using an iPad mini with HomeKit to control my TV and devices. If the SevenHugs remote could clip on direction pad buttons and an up/down physical rocker, that would be amazing. I think Apple's approval process is what keeps most companies away from HomeKit certification. Hope to hear soon!
