  • Try and match (or better) the Logit Harmony controls

    • Mike Morgan Thanks for sharing that request. Can we ask specifically what you find that you like most about your current remote? also, what are the drawbacks?

    • Frank Hi, Logitech Harmony Hub pros are having IR, Bluetooth, and WiFi connection options, PS4 control (incl some apps) macro programming and learning function.

The main drawback is if the remote gets out of sync with device power settings. The remote buttons only work within an 'activity' - it would be better to have an option on the remote to power on/off devices individually if required. Cheers.

  • Logitech support the PS4 via Bluetooth. As the SevenHugs remote supports bluetooth this needs to be added to stay relevant.

    • Shane Lord Thnks for sharing. We are currently working towards being able to control PlayStation via Bluetooth and we hope to have this ability in the near future. As we begin to transition from production into the next steps of development we pan to have a more precise schedule available.

    • Eric frugier I really hope so, PS4 is the centre of my av setup so without support I'll probably just have to stick with the Logitech Harmony

    • Eric frugier  Our teams are presently working on a way to control PS4 via Bluetooth. We will keep you posted as soon as there is any progress on the matter.

    • Greg S great news! Thanks for the update.

  • Glad to hear this is being worked on! Hopefully this allows for an easy implementation of the requested controls for PS3 via BT when complete.

I too am hoping that the support for PS4 bests that of the Harmony Hub BT controls. I've found that repeat commands and macros I create on my Harmony Hubs tend to be hit or miss no matter how much time I waste adjusting command repeat rates or adding in delay periods to my macros. Although the PS4 does not have a published API like SmartGlass, settling for a working clone of the media remote, similar to the current Logitech Harmony solution, would be nice. Moreso if macros would reliably work

  • Is it possible to control the PS4 with an IR adapter at this point? I’d hate to spend more money on another device though...

    • Sean Thiers sure, you can set up your PS4 via a Flirc USB. Here is how to do so.

    • Sean Thiers I bought a flirc and ran through the setup instructions per Anne-Sophie F. but it's not welding well when playing back blu-ray discs on the ps4... so far it's not usable but I'll continue to experiment with it. I'm hopeful it'll work as described by FLIRC.

    • Sonny P Cruz how did it go in the end? Were you able to set it up correctly?

  • On and off, as well as the functions as on the ps4 remote.

    • Gary Beach Thanks a lot for sharing this, we'll keep you updated!
