Changing inputs on A/V Receiver

When creating a scene to watch my Apple TV or my Tivo or any other device for that matter, I don't see any function asking me which HMDI input the receiver has to be set to in order to see that said device.

How does one do that? My inputs are all switched from my receiver.

I also don't understand why every time I switch between a scene for watching device 1 to a new scene to watch device 2, I get on/off commands going off.

I'm on the same TV and receiver, I don't need to turn them off/on each time.

Why can't I have an All ON scene and an All OFF scene and then never worry about on/off commands?

  • And yes, I get it that you need to finish the AC scene on the smart remote itself. But that doesn't seem to work. It won't see my changing inputs on my receiver (from the smart remote). Volume from the smart remote does work on my receiver so the smart remote is talking IR wise to the receiver.

Paul B. please excuse our late response. When you say "But that doesn't seem to work. It won't see my changing inputs on my receiver (from the smart remote).", is this happening when you finalize setup of your AV Scenes on Smart Remote or after setup is done, while trying to activate a scene? Do you have any HDMI CEC in your setup?
