Touching an AV scene in carousel instantly stops it!

Hi,

I got my Smart Remote yesterday and I encountered a very annoying issue:

Whenever I swipe through carousel, by moving my finger horizontally, everything works as it should.

But every time I switch to an AV scene by touching its icon in the carousel, it immediately stops the scene. This is just the same behavior as if I touch its icon when the scene is already selected.

In contrast, when switching to a device, like a light group, in by touching its icon in carousel, the light group does not change its state - just as it should.

Bug or misunderstood feature?

Thanks!

  • Hi Bruno Baumeister thanks a lot for sharing this here. Would you mind making a video of this? This will help us  reproduce it.

  • Please see the attached video. The annoying bug happens at the end, when I try to select the Apple TV scene by touching its icon in the carousel.

  • Small addition: this happens exactly similar with my 2nd AV scene „Xbox“

    • Bruno Baumeister thanks a lot for sharing this. This is normal behaviour, but I made sure to share your feedback to our product team so they can improve this in the future. In the meantime, I would recommend just swiping on the top of the carrousel to access your different devices.

    • Anne-Sophie F. Thanks for informing me. Can you please explain, how can such an inconsistent behavior be meant to be like that?

It would be nice if at least this behavior would be similar when tapping scenes and individual devices.

    • Bruno Baumeister this is definitely something we need to update when I was meaning normal behaviour it was because it is not a bug, but we are definitely willing to improve this and make the experience consistent.
