  • This is my main media device, so not supporting this is a deal-breaker.

  • Yep, this absolutely needs to be supported.   No usable without it!

  • Finding my smart remotes just sits on the base as there is no point if I’m still having to use my fire stick remote. My tv has standby mode so I mainly needed a fire stick remote that worked with my other smart devises, nest, hue, Bose SoundTouch. So far disappointed in the uses, need to update soon.

  • I don't understand why they can't support this device.  Logitech remotes can - their base pairs to the Fire TV and other devices a a bluetooth controller - works like a charm!  Doesn't this have bluetooth as well?  If so it should be able to do the same

  • This seems like an easy integration.   I’d buy a couple more remotes if it had that available.

  • This is the one thing letting this wonderful little device down. Please add support!

  • Yep. We have two Fire TV sticks. 🙁

  • I have Fire TV in my living room and Fire TV sticks in two other rooms, and I agree that not supporting this is a deal-breaker. For me, same goes for IFTTT (my automation hub), since I don't see things like Z-Wave or Insteon supported on their own. Without Fire TV and IFTTT, my smart remote has been sitting on the charging base pretty much unused.

  • I want to ditch harmony, but can't.

Seven-hugs is pretty useless for me without this, it's a beautiful remote, but it's in the drawer.

  • Any updates on this?  I'm pretty close to just cancelling my order and buying a Harmony Hub :(

  • Great news this is now in beta. Well done to the team. This is a product that will continue to grow in value. Once Smartthings gets to beta too I'll start shouting about this remote from the roof tops! (Subject to NDA 😬)

  • Completed! Wow, I can't wait! This will now be the best remote on the market. Amazon integration was all that was missing.

    • Dan Anaya based on the promo video with hundreds of logos suggesting integration including Samsung Smartthings and Honeywell amongst many others. I'm pretty sure that Fire TV  is not the final missing piece. 🤪

Bill Simmons I agree, I'm still looking for the "cake" or "brownies" button. That would certainly be the last thing missing. I'm sure it is probably a secret option that is on the back burner...pardon the pun.

  • Works great.  Sometimes the back button doesn’t work but it’s amazing otherwise!  Thanks for the integration.

  • I’m very happy it’s finally compatible with my firestick. I just wish it wouldn’t put up a message or disconnect when it went to sleep. I wish it would just stay connected. It causes a delay that makes it ALMOST too slow to use versus the standard remote. That said, this remote is far superior for the simple fact it can be used as a keyboard.

Tl;dr - Works great with room to improve.

    • Sevenhugs I notice the first gen Fire TV devices are not supported due to their lack of BLE. Is there any hardware limitation of the SevenHugs smart remote that prevents it from controlling older bluetooth devices which lack support for BLE or might support for these be added in future? I know Harmony works with 1st gen Fire TV stick, PS3 etc via bluetooth and I was hoping this would too.

  • Maybe I'm being dim but I can't work out how I add Fire TV controls to my SevenHugs remote.

    • Sevenhugs yes. No joy. I get. Connection unauthorised when scanning. I scan in the SevenHugs app after choosing Add Bluetooth Device using the Fire TV remote.

    • Jonathan this completely works for me on seven Hugs and has keyboard entry too so better than amazon’s own remote. What’s the problem?
